The School was last inspected by Ofsted during February 2022 and was found to be a GOOD school.
The most recent Ofsted Inspection took place during the Covid Restriction Period (February 2022) and the report highlighted the importance of ensuring there was a robust strategy for developing reading and phonics at the school.
Though Ofsted highlighted our area for development advised there be a focus on Early Reading and Phonics, we were delighted that Year 1 Phonics results at the school during that year were significantly higher than the National Average and our Year 6 English Reading and Writing results were also higher than the National Average in 2022.
Since the inspection the School have further embedded a new Phonics Scheme (The Little Wandle Scheme) into the curriculum to further boost and strengthen teaching and learning and additional catch up and recovery interventions, including the employment of an Academic Mentor have provided addiutonal support for vulnerable groups.
Included below in the PDF section is a copy of our last report and copies of past reports for your information, highlighting the strengths and areas for development over the years. We have also had a recent SIAMS Church School Inspection (January 2023) in which the school was judged to be a GOOD Church School (please see Church Section or Headteacher's Welcome Section to view the SIAMS Report PDF).
