Our Weekly News - 27th April 2018

We began the week by reading Jack and the Beanstalk and retelling the story using our small world figures. We were really good at joining in with 'fee fi fo fum!' We made our own beanstalk pictures using our super scissors skills and made a giant beanstalk which we have used to see how tall we all are! We used 'magic beans' to help us count and make patterns and we have planted our own beans, thinking about what plants need to grow. We have read Jasper's Beanstalk and sequenced the events in the story, using the days of the week. In phonics we talked about the sounds at the beginning of the days of the week. In French we talked about the new baby Prince and the royal family and in Baking Betty we made St George's Day biscuits! Next week we will think about what the giant's castle might be like, our theme being Castles.
