Rolls-Royce Science Prize Winners 2018 (November 2018)

Our school is officially declared a UK Leader of STEM Education!

As one of six national finalists in the Rolls-Royce Science Award  we were amazed to receive national recognition amongst over 2000 applicants .

On 6th November 2018 we were awarded the Rolls-Royce Employee's Choice Award 2018 for our STEM Project on Robotics, carrying over 41% of the Rolls Royce Management and Staff vote. This is an incredible achievement for which we feel immensely proud.

It was a very special moment for our school to be recognised on a national level and for all our work to be shared by Rolls Royce across the globe as exemplary practice.

We are now considered one of the leading schools in the country for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths teaching.

Special thanks goes to our STEM Team - project leader Miss Entwistle and staff Miss Thompson and Miss Wright. Special thanks also goes to Science Author Mr Peter Riley for his knowledge and enthusiatic support. Thank you for recognising the hard work of all our pupils and staff.

Thank you  also to all the parents and friends of the school as well as local businesses and schools who value and support our work. It is much appreciated.
