Liverpool

Year 6 had a magical mystery tour in Liverpool starting with a Gateway to the World workshop at the museum of Liverpool learning about the Albert docks, import and export, the slave trade and why Liverpool grew so quickly. We explored the waterfront and learnt all about Bella and Bertie the Liverbirds!

We ate lunch at the Cavern Club whilst listening to Luce music and listened to some fabulous live music. Then we walked through Liverpool One to see how areas are regenerated and peered down at the secret Old Dock. Then we went for a ride on the Razzle Dazzle ferry for a trip across the Mersey and a workshop and trail at The Beatles Story Museum

We finished the day with a delicious dinner at The Smugglers Cove watching the sun go down over the docks. We learnt lots to kick start our Geography work and to finish off our history topic on the Sixties and The Beatles.

Many thanks to all the parent helpers☺️
