We know that parents and families are keen to support their children at home so we will use this page to add information about how we teach subjects at school which will help you to support your child with their learning at home.
Learning Events for Parents
Each academic year we arrange a programme of learning events for parents following consultation with our families to find out about the kind of support they would value to enable them to support their child at home. These have included maths and literacy workshops, information sessions for SATs and residential trips. If you have any ideas for future events please use the contact form below.

Weekly Newsletters
Parents of children in Nursery and Reception receive weekly newsletters highlighting what has been happening in school and tips/feedback for how parents can help their child at home. A selection of past and current newsletters will be put on our new website for you to look through and see what learning has been taking place in our Early Years environments.
Welcome to Tapestry
Parents of children in Nursery and Reception are kept updated with their child's progress through a piece of educational software called ‘Tapestry’. By logging on with a secure username and password, you will be able to view all of your child’s observations, photographs and even videos from their time in Reception.
You will even receive an email telling you when a new observation or piece of work is available for you to view. This will enable you to follow your child’s progress and give you the opportunity to reflect upon their achievements with them at home.
You can add comments so that we are able to find out which activities your child really enjoyed as well as sharing the activities they carry out at home.
Staff will reference your child’s learning to the EYFS profile so you will know which area of learning your child is achieving in and the age-band they were working in for that activity.
Class 1-6 Communications
Traditionally these have been sent directly to parents via letter or email. Increasingly tips and advice will be placed on the website - including information to support reading, writing, mathematics and support for pupils with special educational needs.
All of this information is stored on a highly secure server which is monitored closely.
