On behalf of the Board of Governors, I welcome this opportunity to briefly introduce you to the work the Governing Board undertakes to ensure that your child(ren) receives an education unique to their needs. As governors, we work alongside the whole school community of staff, pupils and parents and aim to provide a happy, caring environment where all the pupils feel valued and safe.
From July 2019 Settle CE Primary School became Federated with Kirkby Malham Primary after a successful year of collaboration which saw Kirkby Malham Primary achieve a successful Ofsted Inspection in February.
Both schools now operate under one united governing body and are led by our Executive Headteacher Mr Richard Wright.

The Governing Board is very proud of the achievements of Settle Primary School and Kirkby Malham and we are excited to see the federated partnership grow from strength to strength in the years to come, with greater teaching and learning opportunities that fully utilise the experience and talents of staff and governors of both schools ,to the greater good of all the children in both communities. We expect the partnership to impact positively on standards, both in academic terms and also in the breadth of opportunities provided.
